


Setting the stage for their academic journey, Pangasinan State University, Asingan Campus, welcomed its new students and transferees with an engaging orientation program on August 20 at the campus covered court.
Dr. Madlyn D. Tingco, campus executive director, warmly greeted and welcomed the students, faculty , staff and individually introduced the campus officials from various offices.
Dr. Honelly Mae S. Cascolan, dean of the College of Teacher Education, introduced the department chairs: Asst. Prof. Laurence Agsalud for BSE and BEE, Ms. Marry Ann Naluaran for BTLEd and Dr. Mary Jane U. Quibilan for General Education. Faculty members responsible for teaching majors in English, Mathematics, Science and BTLEd were also presented.
In the College of Technology and Business, Asst. Prof. JB O. Doria introduced the department chairs: Dr. Lobien S. Soriano for Business Administration, Ms. Ma. Jo Ann B. Ventura for Information Technology and Engr. Carlos Castillo, Jr. for Industrial Technology, along with their respective faculty members.
In the Human Resource Development and Management Office, Administrative Officer V, Mrs. Leonarda Laguna introduced Mr. Benjie Cansino, administrative officer IV, along with other non-teaching staff members and their designations.
Meanwhile, Dr. Philip G. Nonales, dean of Student and Alumni Affairs, also presented the officials from his office and their respective designations.
The orientation also covered key aspects, including PSU’s vision, mission, strategic goals and core values, presented by Dr. Quibilan. Students were also briefed on uniform requirements by Ms. Wennalyn Honrado, Gender and Development coordinator; academic policies by Dr. Cascolan; retention policies by Asst. Prof. Doria; accreditation of student organizations by Mr. Reven Ferrer, SSC adviser; scholarships and financial aid programs by Dr. Nonales; the Green Campus Program by Engr. Tresha C. Bautista, Planning Officer II; guidance and counseling services by Ms. Jaya C. Ancheta, designated guidance counselor; registrar services by Mr. Arnold Napeñas, registrar II and library services by Ms. Joy Winona P. Perado, campus librarian. These sessions ensured that students are well-prepared for the academic year ahead.
Faculty Regent, Asst. Prof. Ace John Mark P. Liwanag, also attended the orientation program to discuss important matters with other campus officials.
