The faculty and staff of Pangasinan State University, Asingan Campus, gathered at the library today, August 15 for the first general faculty meeting of the school year 2024-2025.

Dr. Madlyn D. Tingco, campus executive director, chaired the meeting, addressing updates and essential topics pertinent to the campus community.

The key areas of focus of the meeting included operational updates and upcoming events. Engr. Tresha Jane C. Bautista, planning officer II and campus pollution control officer, outlined new policy guidelines on energy efficiency, solid waste management and pollution control.

Ms. Janna Arce, campus executive secretary, presented insights into performance accomplishment reports, while Dr. Philip G. Nonales, dean of Student and Alumni Affairs, detailed the schedule and agenda for student orientation as well as the campus mass.

Administrative Officer V Leonarda Laguna also discussed the Civil Service celebration, highlighting events for both teaching and non-teaching staff. Additionally, Mr. Benjie Cansino, administrative officer III, addressed HR issues and provided updates on the Civil Service Celebration, 45th PSU Anniversary and the upcoming bloodletting donation event in Bautista, Pangasinan via online video due to a prior commitment.

Meanwhile, Ms. Camille-Lyka M. Velasquez, accountant II, covered administrative matters including disbursement requirements, travel allowances, miscellaneous expenses and budget requests. Dr. Lobien Soriano, BSBA chair, reviewed the responsibilities of marshals for the graduation ceremony.

Dr. Rodelio Garin, research coordinator, also reminded faculty researchers to finalize their terminal reports for research outputs, ensuring that accreditors do not raise any issues regarding these reports.

The meeting also introduced new faculty members and outlined plans for the PSU anniversary celebration, including contests and other activities. Certificates of recognition were awarded to outstanding faculty members and offices for their exceptional contributions.
