Bachelor in Industrial Technology (BIT) fronted the conduct of demonstration and skills training on household solar power utilization in Eastern Pangasinan on December 26, 2021 at Sta. Maria Elementary School, Umingan, Pangasinan.
The extension project as a result of the research study conducted by Mr. Jerry Aclera, faculty member of the BIT Department handling electronics subject in 2017. The recipients of the said activity were the Kankanaey tribe of Sta. Maria, Umingan, Pangasinan.
Aside from conducting the seminar – workshop, the team also penned a Memorandum of Agreement to the Office of the Municipal Mayor of Umingan, Pangasinan for the benefit of the Indeginous People in the area.
The activity is in partnership with the faculty members of the Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Science who assisted the BIT faculty members during the conduct of the demonstration and skills training.
