San Fernando, La Union – The 34th National Statistics Month (NSM) Regional Closing Ceremony, hosted at the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) in San Fernando City of La Union on October 27, left a lasting impression. The event, themed “Accelerating Progress: Promoting Data and Statistics for a Healthy Philippines,” resonated with the audience, as Pangasinan State University, Asingan Campus clinched the prestigious Regional Champion title in the Jingle Sing and Dance Contest.
The steadfast support of the Campus Executive Director, Dr. Rosario Valencerina, and Campus Head Statistician, Dr. Rodelio M. Garin, played a key role in their success. “Our students’ dedication and talent that secured this Champion title make me immensely proud,” Dr. Valencerina declared.
Meanwhile, the electrifying performance by Mr. Jimboy Baquirin (BSE III), Ms. Zenaida Mandapat (BSE II), Ms. Glaiza Geron (BSIT II), Mr. Joebert Ines (BSE III), and Mr. Ronnie Pacaba (BSBA III) during the closing ceremony brilliantly emphasized the importance of data in promoting a healthy Philippines.

The awarding ceremony was a moment of great pride. The team, guided by talented choreographers, Mr. Boy Victor Cuaresma (BSE III) and Rommel Collo (BSE III), along with Dr. Elsa Terre and Ms. Angie Amla, the dedicated coaches for the Jingle Sing and Dance team, played a vital role in guiding the team to this impressive victory.
