As a mobile faculty of Pangasinan State University – Binmaley Campus, Ms. Analyn I. Diola, Coordinator for Research and Development of Asingan Campus adopted the research project entitled “Eco-design, Construction and Testing of Nypa frutican Fruit Stalk Tapper” led by Dr. Irene De Vera.
The Nypa tapper is developed that aims to produce more nypa juice collected from the stalks of the nypa fruit and to make the work easier and more efficient. The collected juice will be utilized in producing alcohol and vinegar. The project is now completed and is submitted for patent.
