STUDENTS AND FACULTY MEMBERS with highest number of overall activity in VitalSource Bridge (e-books) were recognized by the Pangasinan State University – Lingayen Campus, Library Unit during the flag ceremony last July 19 (Monday).

During this pandemic, the unit wanted to highlight the existence of the e-library service especially to students who are in flexible learning scheme. And to mount the service, this Ebookworm competition was launched to support students and teachers in their conduct of online classes.

Winners for student category were Michael James and Jamielyn Fernandez while for faculty category, Era Anjelika Tomas, Cliff Ervin David, and Cherish Kay Pastor emerged to be the outstanding.

Meanwhile during the awarding, the unit also recognized Mrs. Aurora D. Fernandez as Employee of the Month for her exemplary work as library staff.

The VitalSource, an education technology solutions provider, manifested their conitinuing support to the university as partner of the library unit in helping the institution to power new, cutting-edge technologies designed to optimize teaching and learning for the 21st century.

At present, the office is linked with various education technology solutions providers like VitalSource, Cengage Learning, Science Direct, Academia.edu, Philippine Journal of Science and World Book Online, to help students and teachers access impactful experiences thru digital learning materials. /mmpd
