Ms. Jennifer R. Miguel, Coordinator for Quality Assurance and Campus Head, Statistics Center participated as lecturer during the conduct of the approved extension activity of the Statistics Center on June 22, 2021 at Colegio de Dagupan (CdD) and on June 25, 2021 at Region 1 Medical Center (R1MC).

Ms. Miguel was tasked to discuss the Basic Statistics Seminar on Descriptive methods for the forty (40) medical personnel of R1MC. The said training course aims to help the medical personnel to understand basic statistical concepts in the medical field, select methodology of statistical testing correctly along with the study design in the field, and determine the appropriate sampling design in a given study.

On June 22, 2021, Ms. Miguel was the first lecturer for the three (3) day workshop at Colegio de Dagupan (CdD) who talked on Introduction to Statistical Analysis and Review of Type of Research Questions. The said training activity aimed to understand basic statistical analysis on the different types of research questions, select methodology of statistical testing correctly along with study design, determine the appropriate sampling design in a given study, practice univariate, bivariate and multivariate analysis using statistical software, and interpret results of statistical analysis.
