PSU collaborated with Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) and Embassy of Indonesia in a successful webinar on August 26 entitled “International Webinar on the Role of Women Leaders in the New Normal” .The said event was a joint project of the Gender and Development Office, Local and International Linkages Office. Top caliber and accomplished women from different places served as resource persons.
Among the international speakers were the Education and Culture Attache of Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia Dr. Lili Nurlaili of, and Director of Southeast Asian Members of Education Organization (SEAMEO).Dr. Ethel Agnes Villanueva.
Notable local speakers were also invited such as former councilor of Dagupan City Hon. Maybelyn Dela Cruz Fernandez and provincial health officer of Pangasinan Dr. Anna Ma. Theresa De Guzman.
University President Dr. Dexter R. Buted saluted women his opening remarks in this webinar. “The new normal brought about by the Covid 19 pandemic highlights the significant roles of women across every sphere, from education, governance, health and economy. Women rise up to the occasion as they showed heightened fortitude in the battle against the pandemic. Women are a vital part of the health care infrastructure battling the COVID-19 pandemic head-on”, he stated.
