The Pangasinan State University (PSU) had its online University Academic Council Meeting on Friday (August 7, 2020) for the approval of the final list of the graduating students batch 2020.
University President Dr. Dexter R. Buted and Curriculum and Instruction Director Dr. Razeale F. Resultay led the meeting which was attended by the PSU’s Assistant Professors and those of higher rank through Zoom application.
The Council agreed to conduct a virtual graduation to 2, 521 students of all campuses of PSU from School Year 2019-2020. (Alaminos-119, Asingan-114, Bayambang-322, Binmaley-78, Infanta-1, Lingayen 741, San Carlos-469, Sta. Maria-161, Urdaneta-251, Open University Systems -74, School of Advance Studies- 191)
They discussed the mode of the ceremony and how the candidates for Latin Honors will be awarded. However, the guidelines and dates still need to be finalized.
They also raised the matters on the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) Online Review for Graduating Teacher Education Students of S.Y. 2019-2020 and the General Education Elective Course Offerings for S.Y. 2020-2021.
Other topics discussed were the Proposals on Composition of Panel Members and Schedule of Defense and Research Council in SAS and OUS, as well as the Online Defense System, Graduate Education and Research Forum.
Enrollment of freshmen students and Modalities on Flexible Learning were also deliberated as the scheduled start of the classes is approaching.
The agenda that was established in this meeting are still subject for approval by the Board of Regents before public announcements be released.
