Dr Julie Agpaoa, Bachelor in Industrial Technology (BIT) Faculty Member proposed a research study entitled “Eco-design, Construction and Testing of a Medium Scale Carbonizer for Buko Shells: A Solution and Entrepreneurship for Buko Waste in Pangasinan” that was approved for 2022 research projects. 

Dr Julie Agpaoa together with Ms. Analyn I. Diola, Research and Development Coordinator and Dr. Valentin B. Calpo, Jr., Campus Executive Director planned the project that will be implemented in 2022. This project, Dr Agpaoa will lead the team in developing the said carbonizer.

This project is similar to the two (2) projects which developed the Nipa Carbonizer and Nipa Carbonizer of Pangasinan State University Binmaley Campus where Ms. Diola worked with Dr. Irene De Vera. The two projects were funded by the Department of Agriculture (DA) and the University.
