NEWLY HIRED AND RENEWED EMPLOYEES of Pangasinan State University (PSU) got updated on the policies and guidelines about the government benefit programs – Government Service Insurance System (GSIS), Pag-IBIG Fund, and PhilHealth.

This was held during the orientation program conducted by the Human Resource Management and Development Office on April 27, 2017 at the PSU Convention Hall.

Resource speakers from GSIS Dagupan, Mr. Frederick C. Parajas, Mr. Donato P. Hilomen, and Mr. Wilber R. Castro, talked about the frequently asked questions, updates, issues and concerns about the GSIS Act of 1997 or otherwise referred to as Republic Act No. 8291.

It was followed by Ms. Noreen S. Zamuco, Marketing and Enforcement Section Head of Pag-IBIG Fund Dagupan, as she discussed the benefits rendered by Pag-IBIG to its members under the Republic Act No. 9679 or the Home Development Mutual Fund Law of 2009.

Meanwhile, Mr. Abraham Ballares, PhilHealth Wester Pangasinan Head for Local Health Insurance Office together with Mr. Louie Marzo, expounded the benefits as stated under Republic Act No. 10606, otherwise known as the National Health Insurance Act of 1995.

Moreover, Dr. Ma. Rhodora E. Malicdem, University Director for Instruction, Curriculum, and Accreditation, presented the responsibilities, benefits, and privileges of the regular faculty members of PSU.
