Lingayen, Pangasinan – Sixth generation standard of Investors in People (IiP) was introduced to Pangasinan State University (PSU) in support of setting the institution’s direction towards its leadership and people management practices effectiveness.


As per BOR Resolution No. 60, s. 2016, PSU has subjected to IiP in line with the university’s mandate to contribute to building quality nation and in pursuance of its vision of becoming an ASEAN premiere state university in 2020.

PSU had set schedule of activities for IiP accreditation which was piloted through an orientation program and baseline survey held on March 27, 2017 at the PSU Convention Hall. The feedback meeting and action planning are also slated this March 2017. Meanwhile, other activities are, internal team training (April 2017), progress reviews and learning events (May, July and September 2017), final assessment (September and December 2017), final assessment report (December 2017, access to emerging people management trends (as sheduled by IiP) ), and annual reviews (2018 and 2019).

Ms. Janet P. Watson-Webster, IiP Philippines Chairperson, said in her presentation during the orientation program that IiP’s sixth generation standard will assist PSU to progressively work to high performance since IiP is recognized as the world’s first people management standard.

Moreover, Ms. Azer Garcia, IiP Client Services Specialist, presented the IiP accreditation levels and assessment criteria. Among these criteria are, investors in people accredited, investors in people silver, investors in people gold, and investors in people platinum.
