TO OUTLINE quality management system standard, a seminar-workshop was conducted involving University and Campus Officials regarding the Management System for Educational Organizations (ISO 21001:2018-EOMS).

All requirements of ISO 21001:2018 are generic and intended to be applicable to any organization that uses a curriculum to support the development of competence through teaching, learning or research, regardless of the type, size or method of delivery.

Said event was organized by the Office of the Vice President for Quality Assurance headed by Dr. Elbert Galas through the Institutional Assessment and Accreditation Unit led by Dr. Weenalei Fajardo on Tuesday (March 9) at the Dr. Telesforo Boquiren Convention Hall.

In coordination with the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs and Support Services headed by Dr. Manolito Manuel, this activity serves as an opportunity for the university to emphasize curriculum development, instruction and assessment methods, and other educational management necessities.
ISO 21001:2018 specifies requirements for a management system for educational organizations (EOMS) when such an organization needs to demonstrate its ability to support the acquisition and development of competence through teaching, learning or research.

In addition, the new management system aims to enhance satisfaction of learners, other beneficiaries and staff through the effective application of its EOMS, including processes for improvement of the system and assurance of conformity to the requirements of learners and other beneficiaries.

Engr. Angelica Fragional of the ACF Consultancy and Training Services piloted the discussion on the introduction and context of organization of the EOMS.

With the revisit and review of the current processes, the university would be equipped with the utmost quality management in accordance with the International Organization for Standardization./jjdz
